Case Study: How we managed to grow community and awareness with an Ambassador Campaign


We’ve built an Ambassador Program for a client in the web3 gaming industry, planning it along the lines of “Squid Games”. We started with a small group of highly engaged community members who were passionate about the project’s mission and soon after launched a second program after seeing the interest it generated.

Strategy and Execution 

To implement the Ambassador Program and achieve community engagement and referrals, the following steps were taken:

  • Identifying Dedicated Community Members: We invited applications and carefully selected a group of highly engaged community members who were actively participating in discussions, providing valuable insights, and showing a strong commitment to the project. 
  • Defining Ambassador Roles and Responsibilities: We outlined clear roles and responsibilities for the Ambassadors and communicated that with a dedicated landing page for Ambassadors.
  • Incentivizing Ambassadors: Various rewards were planned based on weekly/monthly tasks. 
  • Providing Ongoing Support: We established a dedicated communication channel with the Ambassadors, providing them with updates, resources, and exclusive access to project updates. This created a sense of exclusivity and camaraderie among the Ambassadors.


The Ambassador Program proved to be a successful strategy for growing community engagement and incentivizing referrals:

  • Increased Community Participation: The Ambassadors played a crucial role in fostering a vibrant and active community. Their contributions, support, and engagement encouraged other community members to participate, resulting in increased discussions, knowledge sharing, and overall community growth.
  • Boosted Referrals: The incentivized referral program led to a significant increase in new user acquisitions. Ambassadors actively referred their networks, spreading awareness about the project and driving organic growth.
  • Cost-Effective Community Building: By leveraging the passion and dedication of community members through the Ambassador Program, the project achieved community growth and engagement without a substantial marketing budget. This approach maximized the project’s resources and created a sense of ownership and pride within the community.

This case study highlights the power of community-driven initiatives, such as Ambassador Programs, in driving community engagement, referrals, and project growth. By leveraging the commitment and enthusiasm of dedicated community members, the project fostered an active and supportive community environment while operating within tighter budget constraints.
